What is FNF: Sarv Behind The Slaughter?

Sarv Behind The Slaughter is a high-energy mod of Friday Night Funkin' (FNF) providing a modern dance to the simultaneous retro rhythm game. Sarv takes on a facelift in the mod and performs alongside the Living Tombstone and BF on a catchy, demanding song. The mod runs on the well-known Mid-Fight Masses engine, giving the experience of fun for both the new and seasoned FNF players. Difficulty settings range from easy to hard, including an extra-fast alt mode. The only difference between difficulties is the chart speed, with alt being significantly faster than hard.

How to Play

If you know the classic FNF formula, you would easily play FNF: Sarv Behind The Slaughter. Hit the notes at the right times using the keys on your keyboard that correspond to the notes. It's usually the arrow keys to move and z/x for kick and punch attacks. Note accuracy is important—miss too many, and the track calls it a failure. But the good thing is it has a ghost tap mode that lets you see where you missed so you can learn to improve on it.

Tips & Tricks

Turn off Ghost Tapping for the hardcore challenge.
Keep practicing on easier difficulties before hitting the harder ones.
Nail your timing when hitting notes; the earlier, the happier your score.

History

The mod grew from the roots of Sarvente’s Mid-Fight Masses, a mod much loved in FNF that gave new life to characters and songs. FNF: Sarv Behind The Slaughter takes all that and slaps a paint job over it, with brand new visuals and animations by Clock Toon, and hard-hitting charts by Gravy. Other contributors to the mod include Mike Geno (music and charting), kuroao_anomal (programming and charting), and Dokki.doodlez (artwork, animation). The OG FNF goes back to ninja_muffin99 for programming, PhantomArcade3k and evilsk8r for artists, kawaisprite for music, and KadeDev for Kade Engine Programming. Thanks to everyone else who contributed on GitHub.
